When Jesus began to teach the multitude by the sea side. Jesus sat on the boat and the multitude was on the land facing the sea. He taught them so many things by parables. The multitude marvelled at His teaching and miracles because it amaze them all, including the pharisees(pharisees is a member of a strict Jewish sect, holding the mosaic law and their own traditions as binding) .

One of jesus teaching was parable of the sower. A sower went out to sow his seed, some fell on the wayside and the birds of the air came and devoured them, and some fell on a stony ground, where it did not have earth and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of earth. But when it was scorched and because it had no root it withered away. And some seed fell among the thorns and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no crop. But some fell on a good ground which yielded a crop that sprang up, increase and produced, some thirty fold, some sixty and some hundred.

The sower is the word of God.

Those that fell on the wayside where the word sown, and when they hear satan comes immediately and takes away the word  that was sown in their heart.

Those that fell on the stony ground; when they hear the Word, immediately receive it with gladness of the heart, and they have no root in themselves, and so endure the word just for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the words sake, immediately they stumble.

Those that fell on the thorns; they are the ones who hear the word and the cares of this world, the deceit fulness of riches and desires for other things entering and choke the word, and it become unfruitful.

Doing your best is diligence; going beyond your best is sacrifice. That’s what makes a star!”
– Quote by David Oyedepo.

Those that fell on the good ground are those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit ; some thirty fold, some sixty and some hundred. Which means after hearing the word we are all entitled to bear fruit from the word we hear and save more soul to God’s kingdom. Dear reader may God continue to help us through Amen.

If you are not serving God in any capacity, you are wasting away.”
– Quote by David Oyedepo.

Purpose of the parable

1. To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God, but to those who are outside,  all things comes in parable. Mark 4:11
