“For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea. For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” 2 Corinthians 1:19–20 (KJV)
A promise is a declaration or assurance that one will do something or that a particular thing will happen. There are lots of promises in God’s Word for the children of God: promises of good health, long life, favor, marriage, a career, etc. All of these promises are tied to Christ Jesus; it is only in Christ Jesus that these promises are sure of being fulfilled in our lives (Colossians 1:27). In other words, those who are not born again cannot have access to these promises. Dear beloved, meditate on the opening scripture, and believe it. He has already said yes to any promise that you are laying claims to, so never worry or complain. Love and praise Him for the promises you are laying claim to, fulfill every condition pertaining to them, and He will bring them to pass.
Hallelujah! Be an overcomer!
Prayer Point: Dear heavenly Father, thank you for fulfilling all your promises in my life. Amen!
