“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9 (KJV)
The Christian life is a journey into God’s perfection. We serve a perfect God who wants us to be like Him (Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect). Divine perfection is a process that takes time to complete. During this process, the Christian sometimes sins, which is why provision has been made by God to help us keep growing till we reach maturity. Therefore, if you are a Christian and you sin, go to God in humility and ask Him to forgive you; receive grace and continue the journey. Don’t allow the enemy to fill you with so much sorrow that you think your sin is so great that it cannot be forgiven. The opening scripture is the provision that has been made for us, so make use of it and free yourself from the accuser, the enemy which is the devil. When you grow to maturity through constant study of the Word and doing righteous acts, sin will have no place in your life. Hallelujah! You are an overcomer!
Prayer Point: Dear heavenly Father, please forgive me of this sin I have committed against you. Amen!
