The people that do know their God shall be strong. — Daniel 11:32.

Knowing God means knowing joy, peace, happiness, love, and so much more. It means being fulfilled and whole. It means never being alone.

Every believer understands that to know God is the highest and best form of knowledge; and this spiritual knowledge is a source of strength to the Christian. It strengthens his faith. Believers are constantly spoken of in the Scriptures as being persons who are enlightened and taught of the Lord; they are said to “have an unction from the Holy One,” and it is the Spirit’s peculiar office to lead them into all truth, and all this for the increase and the fostering of their faith. Knowledge strengthens love, as well as faith. Knowledge opens the door, and then through that door we see our Saviour. Or, to use another similitude, knowledge paints the portrait of Jesus, and when we see that portrait then we love him, we cannot love a Christ whom we do not know, at least, in some degree. If we know but little of the excellences of Jesus, what he has done for us, and what he is doing now, we cannot love him much; but the more we know him, the more we shall love him, or when we go to church and listening to diverse miracles of God’s act, we will be propel to love God the more. Just has he said in 1 Corinthians 2:9 what eyes have not seen nor ears have had nor as it enter into the heart of any man, what he has set for you and I just because we love him. Knowledge also strengthens hope. How can we hope for a thing if we do not know of its existence? Hope may be the telescope, but till we receive instruction, our ignorance stands in the front of the glass, and we can see nothing whatever; knowledge removes the interposing object, and when we look through the bright optic glass we discern the glory to be revealed, and anticipate it with joyous confidence. Knowledge supplies us reasons for patience. How shall we have patience unless we know something of the sympathy of Christ, and understand the good which is to come out of the correction which our heavenly Father sends us? Nor is there one single grace of the Christian which, under God, will not be fostered and brought to perfection by holy knowledge. How important, then, is it that we should grow not only in grace, but in the “knowledge” of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

1. Because he died for US:

Believe me or not, God sent His only begotten son to save you, he died on the cross for you and I in other for us to be saved. The fact that you are saved and you can spend your eternity in Heaven you should completely be overwhelmed with great joy. God loved you that much. Jesus was persecuted for our sins just so you wouldn’t have to be. He suffered for you before you were even alive. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16.

2. He forgives US ;

“As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.” Psalm 103:12.Who do you know who forgives you for each and every thing you do wrong? Not many people can continuously grant you their forgiveness. No matter what you do, because of His mercy, you are forgiven. God is a MERCYFUL God.

3. We have a permanent companion.

He wants you to talk to Him every single day. He wants you to come to Him with your thoughts, your problems, your worries, and your praise. The Bible says, “Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you.” He wants to be your first priority each and every day. He is jealous for YOU. Can you believe that? Our God, our Lord and Savior wants you to spend time with Him. He waits to hear from you, wanting you to reach out to Him. He wants to help you with the struggles you are going through. He hates to see you try and handle these things on your own, and it breaks His heart when you stray from Him. He is constantly seeking after you. How awesome is that? “Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you.” Psalm 63:6

4. As our creator:

One way which we can closely examine God is to study Him as Creator. When we can emphasize God as our Creator as much as we do our Savior, this provides a stronger basis for worship. With this understanding we should change how we view our lives, days, body and money. God as Savior is such a glorious role. But He has a prior claim as creator.”

“Knowing who God it affects how we treat others. When we lack mercy, love, peace, we have poisoned relationships because we’re holding on to things. Also, when we can understand who God is, things move in ease for us, we won’t struggle with life… reasons why some people are still struggle in life is because they are still holding on to the past and they never know who God is.

I pray may God open our inner eye to behold who he really his. And by his mercy you will never struggle with life any more. Amen
