Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Look into the future with joy, God told Abraham in Genesis 13:14-15 And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever. God didn’t say look at where you are. He said look from where you are to the place ahead of you. If you consider where you are you will remain discouraged. Joyous people see beyond were they are. They never bothered what is around them. They are only concerned about where they are going, and as they see the blessings drawing closer the joy increases. They didn’t see the mockery of today, they see the crown awaiting ahead of them. The ultimate end is what catches their attention. Like the opening scripture says Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, Jesus himself despise the shame on the cross just for you and I. Everyday of your life is a passage and it takes joy to pass through from one stage to another. When you quench your joy, you stop enduring and only those who endure to the end recieve the crown. Mark 13:13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. I pray in Jesus name may God cloth us with his garment of joy always. Remain ever blessed!!
