I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord. Psalms 40:1-3 (KJV)
Waiting is part of the walk with the LORD. There is no body who ever walked with the LORD without waiting on God at some point in their life. Abraham waited for a period of time before his request of a son was granted. Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, and David all waited before God led them into their destiny. Waiting is a period of time you look up to God for the fulfillment of His promise. In such a time you know that your effort will amount to nothing so you just have to allow God to have His way until He has given what He has promised. Patience, prayer, meditation of the Word, fellowship, thanksgiving, and obedience are some of the key things that sustain you during waiting. You may sometimes have to fast and spend time alone with God, Matthew 4:1-2 then was Jesus led up the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was AFTERWARD an hundred. Dear beloved, learn to wait on the Lord to the end and He will reward you and put a new song in your mouth.
Hallelujah! Be An Overcomer!
