Logopit_1556694787594The place of character is so vital in our Christian life, Christian character is what makes one’s count and relevant to our world. So character will be our manifestation of the word of God. This will make us look at the character expected of us as Sons and Daughters of God, where we will study what i called “CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT “

Note that man worth in life is determine by his character (Matthew 7:20 (KJV) Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.) A man beauty and attraction in life is a function of his character meanwhile anointing cannot substitute character.

What is character?

Character is simply what marks, defines, and identify mankind; It was originated from Latin which means mark or distinctive quality (Proverbs 20:11 (KJV) Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right). Character is who you are when no man is watching.

Character can also be defined as the inner or moral qualities that forms the pattern of an individual behavior. We can also say character is a lifestyle or a sum total of a person. Also Note that character can either be good or bad

Many mistake reputations to be character, My Dear, reputation is not your character; reputation is simply what other people thinks about you while your character is the truth about you. Reputation can be said to be who you are to the public and character is who you are in your private close. So know that reputation is not something you should pursue, it will be a by-product of your character.so I would rather advise you focus on maintaining a Godly character and protecting your integrity rather than pursuing your reputation.

What Is Development?

Development on the other hand is simply the process of adding value to man’s life. Development is defined as the process of enlarging people’s freedoms and opportunities and improving their well-being. Development is about the real freedom ordinary people have to decide who to be, what to do, and how to live.

What Is Character Development?

Character Development can then be said to be the building upon a man’s inner qualities or moral virtue. It is enhancement of a Godly virtue embedded in the believers at the new birth by the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.)

Components of character

  • Thoughts
  • Imaginations
  • Feelings
  • Attitudes and
  • Actions

I give it an acronym {TIFA2}

  • Thoughts are the discussion going on in our mind silently without anyone’s knowledge.
  • Imaginations are the abilities to create mental pictures and it can influence one’s character, it is seen with the eyes of one’s mind. Therefore, it is our personal responsibility to imagine productively.
  • Feelings are not a reliable component of character, feelings are often short-lifted, they are not a good determinant of character development; that is why we Christians are admonished to believe towards good feelings not to feels towards a good behavior.
  • Attitudes refers to one’s dispositions or tendencies and has a great influence on one’s character (Proverbs 20:11), it can be said to be the way we see things, our judgement about things and how it determines one’s behavior.
  • Actions are the expressions to the totality of our character; what we think or imagine in our minds is ultimately express in our outward behavior.

Now Note This; Most Dominant Thoughts Lead to Actions

Repeated Actions Lead to Habit

The Habit Shapes Our Character

And Our Character Determines Our Destiny

God is the origins of Godly characters (James 1:17 (KJV)Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.) and Satan is the origin of ungodly character (John 8:44 (KJV) Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.)

Some of the ungodly character we have to stay away from as the sons of God are as follows; Dishonesty, Slandering, Deceit, Cheating, Lust and Impurities, Pride, Covetousness and many more, because with all these character aforementioned one can’t get close to our heavenly Father and these can’t give us good reputation among men on earth.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT Godly character is the ability to discern God’s right way from the wrong, and to voluntarily surrender one’s own will to do what is right in God’s sight and, with the promised supernatural help, to resist the wrong even under pressure and temptation.

  2. Hiya! Quick question that’s entirely off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My site looks weird when viewing from my iphone 4. I’m trying to find a theme or plugin that might be able to correct this issue. If you have any recommendations, please share. Many thanks!
