Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying, Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; I remember thee, the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousals, when thou wentest after me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown. Jeremiah 2:1-2 (KJV)
Responding to the promptings of God prevents backsliding. To backslide is not an event that happens instantly; it is a process that starts when one begins to get too familiar with spiritual things. For example, a Christian who was strict with their morning devotion begins comprising this time for other activities and finally stops doing their morning devotion. God would have prompted them but they ignored Him. When you notice that you have backslidden, repent and ask God to forgive you and receive more grace to begin to do the good things you were doing. Dear beloved, may you respond to God quickly when you are on the road to backslide so that you don’t have to backslide at all.
Hallelujah! Be An Overcomer!
